Path of Exile Review

Path of Exile Review:
The first leg of the journey is a familiar one: within moments of waking on a lonely beach, you are fending off the lurching undead, receiving only a few words of encouragement to help you find your bearings. And that's just fine. Clicking on monsters until they die is now a role-playing tradition, and Path of Exile trusts your instincts. It allows you to discover its world's mysteries without immediately overwhelming you with its complexities. And it all starts with the clicking, as it so often does.

Warface Review

Warface Review:
Mandatory teamwork is the glue that holds everything together in Warface, Crytek's latest slick-looking first-person shooter which takes the fight deep into free-to-play territory. Whether you're hoisting a squad member up to higher ground, replenishing dwindling ammo supplies, or using a defibrillator to revive a fallen teammate, a sense of compulsory camaraderie drives the intense co-op missions. If your team doesn't work together as a cohesive unit, everyone dies. It's a cool hook that can alternately forge strong bonds or throw your crew into bickering turmoil. But beyond its spirited cooperative battles, Warface just doesn't do enough to set itself apart from other military shooters pushing up to the front lines this year.

Mathematical! New Adventure Time game coming to mobile this winter

Mathematical! New Adventure Time game coming to mobile this winter :
Cartoon Network wants to get more into mobile games, and it spotted an opportunity to do exactly that by combining one of its biggest properties with one of its closest development partner’s app.

Publisher Cartoon Network Games is working on an Adventure Time adaptation of developer Defiant’s Ski Safari for mobile devices. This will have Adventure Time heroes Finn the dog and Jake the human skiing down a slope to escape the villainous Ice King. Players will team up with familiar faces and use special power-ups to ski faster and jump higher.

Kickstarter Interview: Take to the skies for dog fighting action in Dragons of Elanthia

Kickstarter Interview: Take to the skies for dog fighting action in Dragons of Elanthia:
The whole “dog fighting” genre has been done over and over again with everything from biplanes to futuristic jetfighters. Children of the 80s go through their Top Gun phase and feel the need for speed. There are few feelings better than maneuvering behind your opponent, getting your target in your sights, and then pulling the trigger. Have you ever wondered where else the dog fighting genre could take off to (see what I did there)?

Insider Q&A: GameHouse’s Ken Murphy

Insider Q&A: GameHouse’s Ken Murphy:
Seattle-based GameHouse has been one of the most dominant casual game developers, publishers, and distributors for years, boasting a playlist of popular titles including Bayou Blast and Slotorama.

“GameHouse was one of the earliest developers of casual games, so back in 2004, when RealNetworks looked to expand, GameHouse was their very first acquisition,” explains Ken Murphy, VP GameHouse Studios. “Fast forward over the years, and our business expanded into mobile gaming and social mobile gaming, and we came to the determination that the GameHouse brand itself was really a terrific one to keep going to market with.

Rumble Entertainment is starting to make some serious noise in the gaming space.
